Carolina Blues are a Blue Ridge creation.

We crossed two of our favorite breeds (Austra Whites and Black Australorps) to create a beautiful blue-grey chicken.

While several mutations may appear, we select roosters and hens that provide either the “smokey-head” or the speckled blue-white aesthetic.

Temperament and egg production tend to lean towards the Austra White breed and produce cream colored eggs.
